Overview

We are searching for talented software engineers who can help to create an immersive Bluetooth experience within our vehicles.

 

In this role, you will be tasked with bringing Bluetooth to the Canoo vehicles. You will work with the product & UIUX teams to bring their visions of the Bluetooth features to life for our Canoo users. Bluetooth begins and ends with you which means that whether it be a bug or new feature, you will lead the effort to get it done. At the end of the day, you will ensure that the components that encompass the Bluetooth features are delivered to the Infotainment system, on-time and with the expected quality of a world-class product.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a solid understanding of what the system should be by reviewing requirements
  • Work with team – internal & external – to develop a comprehensive set of Bluetooth components.
  • Taking on & resolving the hardest Bluetooth problems in the system
  • Maintain a solid set of test utilities to aid in the development & validation of the bluetooth features
  • Create the application software that implements the Canoo vision of Bluetooth
  • Work with the scrum master break down stories into tasks and maintain the embedded backlog

Qualifications

  • 5+ years developing Bluetooth software – including automotive experience
  • Excellent C/C++ development skills
  • In-depth understanding Bluetooth – including the baseband, stack, specs, and certification
  • Hands-on experience with integrating Bluetooth features into a GUI
  • Solid understanding of Linux, QNX, or Android – including the Bluetooth interfaces, tools.
  • Has shown the ability to function independently on a day-to-day basis
