Overview

The Business Planning Manager will help shape the overall Program Management and Product Development business systems in conjunction with mid and senior level leadership and working level teams.  Specific areas of focus include operational methods & systems, processes, procedures, governance structure, and related IT tools.  Target outcomes include increased organizational efficiency/effectiveness, Product Development excellence, clear and easy to navigate locations for key information and tools.

Responsibilities

  • Establish organized systems and develop efficient processes within the Canoo organizational ecosystem
  • Provide leadership to organize and manage multiple active workstreams focused on process improvement
  • Ability to structure large amounts of information within a process framework
  • Ability to effectively work x-functionally with all levels of leadership
  • Analyze business processes and workflows to deliver ease of use and improved results
  • Educate business users responsible for managing and operating business processes
  • Monitor, measure, and provide feedback on process performance
  • Apply knowledge of state-of-the-art business process modelling

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, business, or related field.  MBA is a plus
  • 5-10 years’ experience in automotive or other complex product development business environment
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder requirements and relationships
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills
  • Strong business acumen and systems thinking skills
  • Extensive knowledge of process mapping and business process re-engineering
  • High level understanding of major IT business software functionality
  • Understanding of protocols like SOAP, WSDL, XML and other key protocols is desirable
