Canoo is looking for a visual creative storyteller who is a master videographer and editor to support the business under the marketing department. The position will report directly to the Marketing Manager and own video production and editing that delivers world-class video assets that create distinctivity across platforms. The candidate needs to be a self-starter with organizational skills and a good attitude. Individual contribution is necessary, as well as creative direction and a clear understanding of the brand identity.


  • Strong visual storytelling capabilities
  • Direct and capture product + lifestyle video content for external and internal comms
  • High proficiency in editing video content – brand consistency is important
  • Collaborate with team to create social reels, behind-the-scenes footage, and other content for social media
  • Capture content for a variety of aspect ratios across various social media channels
  • Creative direction in collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Help with pre-production materials like location scouting, lighting, Run of Show, sourcing props, sourcing on-camera talent, music, and usage rights organization
  • Travel with the team to events, large video, and photo productions, and more
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and always looking for path to “yes”
  • Good at receiving and implementing feedback, and adding a creative perspective
  • Build and organize production equipment inventory and maintain equipment (Canoo will provide and own the equipment you need)
  • Ability to organize and manage asset inventory
  • Color grading - motion graphics capabilities if applicable
  • Stay up to date on the latest video creative trends


  • 5+ years of video capture and editing (automotive experience his highly desired)
  • A reel/portfolio of commercial work demonstrating exceptional video storytelling produced for client-oriented projects
  • Good in Final Cut Pro or Adobe Premiere, color grading - Motion graphics / Adobe creative suite is a plus
  • Solid communication skills, including the ability to present and sell your work internally
  • Self-directed with the ability to come up with creative solutions independently and able to manage time effectively across multiple projects adhering to production schedules in a fast-paced environment
  • Manage database workflow
  • Photography and graphic design a plus
