Overview

The Canoo Marketing Department is looking for an Audience Data Analyst who will work directly with the Marketing department to assist in defining the overall data and audience segmentation strategy, and the planning and execution of the overall marketing vision. This will include the development of an audience roadmap, short-term audience deliverables, integrations with third-party systems, marketing campaign channel support, and identification of the department’s data strengths and weaknesses. The Audience Data Analyst will provide vision and strategy for all marketing audience data activities and will be a champion for larger company data management, governance, and quality.

Additionally, the Audience Data Analyst should have experience within the Salesforce ecosystem (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and/or Service Cloud) or similar enterprise CRM systems and apply best practices in data hygiene and organization.

You’ll work directly with the Marketing team in our Justin, TX office and collaborate with counterparts across a wide range of functions including sales, information technology, post sales, product, manufacturing, finance, operations, and HR. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from many experts across a number of functional and technical disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Validating and processing data import automations and third-party integrations
  • Establish and maintain marketing audience segmentation, governance, and contribute to the overall marketing strategy therein
  • Salesforce audience subject-matter expert and maintaining data hygiene within the Salesforce clouds
  • Help plan, develop, and implement a departmental audience data strategy, including reporting, analysis, and data syncing with respect to strategic decision-making and the communication of data impact internally and externally
  • Assist in leading the marketing team in a unified approach with IT and other data functions to enhance and accomplish organizational priorities
  • Establish information asset management best practices (data management standardization, utilization, and quality)
  • Assist in critical day-to-day marketing operations, providing service and meeting strategic goals within audience segmentation and strategy across various marketing channels (including email, social media, paid search, and others)
  • Dynamically adjust vision and priorities as conditions or agency needs evolve
  • Foster the spirit of people development, collaboration, and continuous improvement consistent with Canoo core values

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Marketing or related field/equivalent practical experience
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT OR a marketing data/audience role
  • At least 2 years of experience manipulating large data sets and maintaining data integrity and hygiene
  • Familiarity and awareness of big data, data warehouse, business intelligence, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
  • Strong self-starter with an ability to navigate successfully through ambiguity to provide recommendations on project direction
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working independently and driving own initiatives
  • Intellectual agility – the ability to learn and act on new information quickly and efficiently
  • Able to motivate others and obtain buy-in across all levels of the organization
  • Able to challenge the status quo
  • Strong communication as demonstrated through the presentation of strategy to different levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communications including content creation through various mediums

Preferred Experience

  • Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and/or Service Cloud) or other enterprise CRM experience highly preferred
  • 4+ Years of experience in IT OR a marketing data/audience role
  • 4+ Years of Excel or database experience
  • 2+ Years of SQL experience
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of automotive/technology development, manufacturing operations, and industrial dynamics
