  • Partner with business and technology leaders to help solve Canoo’s most difficult challenges, transform mindsets, unlock capabilities, and map the path to the next normal
  • Develop compelling insights and recommendations through quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Manage and implement the planning process for technology strategic initiatives in collaboration with other teams and senior leadership within Canoo
  • Manage proper tracking, reporting, and communication of the IT operational plan that stems from Canoo strategic plans, as well as the status of key technology initiatives / projects to senior management
  • Collaborate with the CIO and the IT leadership team on key initiatives to design, lead and implement special projects
  • Foster the spirit of people development, collaboration, and continuous improvement consistent with Canoo core values
  • Create and monitor strategic metrics to support assessment of progress against the IT strategy, vision, and overall operations
  • Dive into any area of the business, understand business needs, and facilitate executive decisions based on changing priorities
  • Be a trusted partner and sounding board to the CIO and IT Executive Team on decisions
  • Ask the hard questions to ensure that projects and investments have true impact to Canoo, including ongoing discussions on whether the impact/ROI is enough
  • Operate with a high level of integrity and discretion including matters of people, legal proceedings, acquisitions, and financial forecasts


  • Assist with coordination and facilitating the production goals of Manufacturing for process safety, quality, timing, costs, and efficiency (HPV, eHPV)
  • Tracking target achievement for production-relevant goals (deadlines, costs, quantities, process reliability, HPV, eHPV, quality and work-content)
  • Assist with analysis of the target and actual data during the course of special-cause projects and common-cause work
  • Work with the teams and their zero-based budgets
  • Learn our assessment process and become involved with recruiting and hiring activities
  • Coordinate with the department teams toward documenting program milestones and targets
  • Help coordinate and host the weekly meetings for Manufacturing.
  • Compile strategies and collect relevant information and data, to assist with internal and external meetings
  • Responsible to collect, organize, and help communicate Manufacturing reports by week and month



  • BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 to 5+ years’ experience in roles with similar responsibilities above with demonstrated increasing levels of responsibility; highly prefer combination of experience in technical functions with management, strategic consulting or chief of staff background
  • Strong self-starter with an ability to navigate successfully through ambiguity to provide recommendations on project direction
  • Strong work ethic with flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working independently and driving own initiatives
  • Intellectual agility – the ability to learn and act on information quickly and efficiently
  • Able to motivate others and obtain buy-in across all levels of the organization
  • Able to challenge the status quo
  • Strong communication as demonstrated through the presentation of strategy to different levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communications including content creation through various mediums
  • Significant experience and understanding of IT business operations and programs
  • Experience managing complex projects in a highly dynamic and fluid environment
  • Rock star presentation development and written and verbal communications skills with great attention to detail
  • Strategic and flexible approach to business problem solving.  Ability to process information to formulate an effective strategy and programs
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to form deep and trusted relationships, across organizations, to achieve common goals
  • Ability to interface with and present to C-level executives
  • Ability to coordinate basic financial management, modeling, budget management


  • MS/MBA with 7+ years of work experience
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of automotive/technology development, manufacturing operations, and industrial dynamics
