Canoo is looking for a Sr. Manager of Brand Experience Design to join the leadership team responsible for creative brand design.  As one of the lead creatives for creative brand experiences and organizational leader of the team, you will be responsible for producing the visual communication of Canoo’s unique and breakthrough product line up both digitally and physically.  The exceptional candidate will be distinguished by combining their expertise in the creative demands of web, photo, swag development, and graphics with a proven track record in the industrial or automotive creative sector.


Leading multiple teams of full-time, agency and freelance creatives, you will establish the daily hand-on creative processes. Unaffected under pressure, you keep cool on deadlines and roll through the unexpected obstacles with solutions.  Balancing both ultra-high quality and nimble production skills for maximum return on investment.  You know how to partner and communicate efficiently with the other department leaders across the design organization as well as partners in marketing, communications, engineering, and corporate development. 


Primary creative responsibility for the visual identity and quality standards of all creative assets produced by the Canoo Brand Experience Design department.  As the first touch point of a premium brand image, you will bear the highest accountability for ensuring every logo, photograph and video we produce is authentic, distinctive, and uniquely Canoo- bringing EV to the masses. 

Your team of creatives, visualizers and designers will work across the programs, partnering closely and regularly with the Industrial Design team to craft our uniquely Canoo image based experiences. Combining your industrial design background and partnering across the design teams, you will ensure that our internal and customer experiences will authentically convey their original vision consistently across platforms, channels, and marketplaces.


  • Excellent verbal and visual communication skills
  • Creating standards and guidelines to gain maximum efficiency through the process.
  • Motivating and inspiring the teams and partners with creative benchmarking and storyboarding skills.
  • Budget and time management track record
  • Executing and distributing content to the partnering departments
  • 5+ years in brand design studio management roles, with specific creative oversight in both digital design and print.
  • 5+ years leading teams of individual art directors, agencies, photographers, motion picture production, stylists, and other typical on-set crew members.
  • Constant hunger to stay on top of industry trends and news with a process to share new industry information.
  • Constant state of dissatisfaction to improve and elevate creative programs from the big picture to the finest details.
  • Organized in team management as well as file management
