Overview

The Canoo Marketing Department is looking for a Digital Marketing Analyst who will work directly with the Marketing department to assist in digital marketing operations and strategy, and the execution of the overall marketing vision.

This will include coordinating with multi-functional teams (Product Development, Customer Journey, IT/Data, Design, and more), coordinating and executing marketing campaigns in multiple digital channels (including, but not limited to email, paid media, and SEM), assisting in calendar planning, defining high-level audiences and segments, working in third-party systems, and support for executive initiatives. The Digital Marketing Analyst will assist in the vision and strategy for a variety of marketing activities and will need to be flexible in a changing, startup environment.

Additionally, the Digital Marketing Analyst should have some experience within the Salesforce ecosystem (preferably Marketing Cloud) or similar enterprise marketing platforms.

You’ll work directly with the Marketing team in our Justin, TX office and collaborate with counterparts across a wide range of functions including sales, information technology, post sales, product, manufacturing, finance, operations, and HR. You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from many experts across a number of functional and technical disciplines. 

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve on critical marketing operations and strategy, and contribute to the overall marketing goals therein
  • Digital Marketing operations subject-matter expert while maintaining data integrity and meeting or exceeding key performance metrics within their respective marketing channels
  • Improve upon operational execution with a consistent cadence of reporting, analysis, and iterative strategies.
  • Create and submit creative briefs as needed for owned marketing channels
  • Assist in marketing efforts with IT and other data functions to enhance and accomplish organizational priorities
  • Maintain information asset management best practices as established by data governance
  • Dynamically adjust vision and priorities as conditions or agency needs evolve
  • Foster the spirit of people development, collaboration, and continuous improvement consistent with Canoo core values

Qualifications

Required Experience 

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Business, or related field/equivalent practical experience
  • 1-2+ years experience in a marketing analyst role
  • Established proficiency in standard office procedures and software (Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Familiarity and awareness of marketing best practices, trends, and technological advancements
  • Strong self-starter with an ability to navigate successfully through ambiguity and provide recommendations as needed
  • Solid work ethic with flexibility and adaptability to change
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and comfort working independently and driving own initiatives
  • Intellectual agility – the ability to learn and act on new information quickly and efficiently
  • Able to motivate others and obtain buy-in across all levels of the organization
  • Able to challenge the status quo
  • Strong communication as demonstrated through the presentation of strategy to different levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communications including content creation through various mediums

PreferredExperience  

  • Salesforce (Marketing Cloud) or other CRM/enterprise marketing platform experience highly preferred
  • 3+ Years of experience in an email or digital marketing role
  • 2-3+ Years of Excel or database experience
  • 1-2+ Years of SQL and data management experience
  • Demonstrated experience and understanding of automotive/technology development, manufacturing operations, and industrial dynamics

 Travel Requirements

  •  Limited overnight travel may be required in support of marketing operations

Physical Requirements for Non-Physical Positions

  • While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time, occasionally bending or stooping, lifting up to 10 pounds, and prolonged periods of computer use.
