The Functional Owner (FO) is a Software Engineer responsible for the functionality of a particular set of ADAS features. The FO will interact with multiple engineering and validation teams, analyze requirements, milestones, and dependencies to successfully deliver the features. Critical thinking, communication, and (task) organizational skills are the key to success in this role.


  • The FO will collaborate with multiple teams to prioritize tasks, overcome obstacles, and deliver ADAS features.
  • The FO will maintain JIRA stories, tasks, milestone dates, and dependencies.
  • The FO will study the competitive market and derive KPIs.
  • The FO will critically review the requirements and suggest functional improvements.
  • The FO will ensure existence and traceability of requirements to code, test cases and KPIs. This shall include regulatory, vehicle behavior, system, software, etc., requirements.
  • The FO will facilitate software calibrations to meet KPIs.
  • The FO will provide weekly updates on the delivery status of the ADAS features to Manager/Director.


Required Experience 

  • Clear verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Large Project Software Engineering experience
  • Team leadership experience
  • Understanding, and competitive analysis, of multiple ADAS features
  • Driving license in USA and sufficient driving experience to understand ADAS needs


  • C++, C programming and building
  • IPG CarMaker modeling
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science
  • Understanding of AI/ML/DNN training, data collection and preprocessing
  • Understanding of the perception concepts

 Travel Requirements

  • A rare visit to Torrance, CA, Tulsa, OK, or Auburn Hills, MI might be required for a few weekdays
  • Fast Internet connection to support videoconferencing is mandatory.
