Overview

Define the System Engineering requirements, lead design and implementation of the ADAS product and System / Software to enable implementation of features into the system. Support, co-ordinate, lead root-cause analysis with internal functions and suppliers to ensure accurate implementation of system requirements. 

Responsibilities

  • Requirements Engineering Management
  • System Architectural Design including,
    • Defining a system architecture consistent with the technical requirements
    • Identifying functions and elements required to achieve the use case(s), and formalize these through different SYSml diagrams, at different abstraction levels, from vehicle to component
    • Capture the system architecture, both model and document-based
  • Create and validate diagnostic specifications for new features and software releases to support the engineering, manufacturing, and service teams
  • Support, coordinate, lead root-case analysis with internal functions and suppliers to ensure system achieves feature requirements
  • Organizational Collaboration
    • Work with system safety to develop safety concepts to achieve required functional safety
    • Work with the test and validation team to verify functional operation to technical specification and update the requirements as necessary from test feedback
  • Responsible for defining the operational design domain for the ADAS system
  • Effectively communicate with the rest of the organization when issues or failures arise.

Qualifications

Required Experience 

  • Minimum Bachelor's Science Degree, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant engineering experience in the electronics industry, automotive focus preferred
  • System hardware and software knowledge through work experience 

PreferredExperience  

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field
  • Experience in Automotive Industry and knowledge in ADAS domain (vision / RADARs / Ultrasonics / LIDAR / HD Maps / DMS etc.)
  • Experience working with Polarion & Jira tools
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Experience in supplier management (technical aspects).

 Travel Requirements

 Occasional visits to Torrance, CA; Tulsa, OK; or Auburn hills, MI location might be required on need basis.

 

Physical Requirements for Non-Physical Positions

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time, occasionally bending or stooping, lifting up to 10 pounds, and prolonged periods of computer use.

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to lift up to 25 or more pounds, stand, sit, bend/stoop, or operate office equipment or machinery.
