The Closures Program Manager will effectively organize and drive activities to support meeting company milestones. The role is responsible for having a high level of interaction across all departments to ensure requirements are met in a timely, efficient, and detailed manner.


  • Define and drive project requirements, workflows, and plans
  • Finalize project scope, define initial assumptions and milestones, and secure project resources
  • Monitor budgetary and CAPX spend, rebalancing as needed
  • Identify, document, monitor and report status of all project milestones and deliverables
  • Continuously monitor and measure project processes and activities to identify and communicate potential inhibitors
  • Escalate potential issues and risks, defining critical paths and uncovering roadblocks to resolution
  • Track and manage concerns and change requests within scope of Closures
  • Maintain open issues list and ensure effective on time closure of such issues
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to request key inputs to develop the Closures system to meet program milestones
  • Work directly with nominated suppliers in ensuring key deliverables and milestones are met
  • Track cost and mass impacts and savings opportunities identified throughout development process


Required Experience 

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in engineering, business management or related field
  • 5+ years of proven experience in delivering complex projects in automotive or engineering industries
  • Proven experience in program management and ability to support change.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience managing complex stakeholder requirements and relationships
  • Experience in project management, including related software and tools
  • Ability to achieve results under tough circumstances


  •  Familiarity with stampings, sealing systems, glass, mechanisms, washing and wiping components
  • Deep understanding of automotive design cycle and change management
  • Experience with 5D or other problem-solving methodologies and ability to drive 5D plans to closure
  • Ability to influence and engage at the executive level
  • Hands-on interest in developing a real-world product from concept through production.

 Travel Requirements

 Travel may be required during vehicle launches and for supplier visits, up to 25%.

 While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time, occasionally bending or stooping, lifting up to 10 pounds, and prolonged periods of computer use.
