The Test Facilities Manager will lead our overall test facility operations, managing the scope & creation of new test laboratories and workshops, ensuring efficient uptime of existing test laboratories with execution of their respective maintenance projects, as well as leading the Test Facilities staff.  


  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of all Testing Facilities, Workshops, and Labs
  • Manage the overall Test Facilities & Test Equipment OpEx and CapEx budgets
  • Manage Direct Reports of Test Technicians, Test Facilities Maintenance Staff, Test Lab Operators, and Test Equipment Engineers
  • Coordinate with Test Teams to determine equipment needs, priorities, timing, and budget for new test equipment to support current and future test programs
  • Plan and oversee expansion of existing internal test capabilities and resulting execution of facility tenant improvements
  • Identify and scope out new test facility sites and propose facility infrastructure and conversion costs to create world-class test facilities
  • Project management and oversight of real estate professionals, architectural designers, construction subcontractors for MEP, local city planning and permitting officials, for on-time & on-budget build completion deadlines
  • Work with test equipment suppliers to generate quotations for equipment purchases, as well as service support and maintenance contracts to ensure maximum equipment up-time
  • Manage test equipment suppliers for equipment installations and commissioning according to intended specifications and for on-time operation
  • Develop maintenance schedules for all equipment assets to ensure all equipment is serviced as required to reduce downtime


  • Minimum of 10 years experience as a manager of test facilities
  • Must have a breadth of equipment or facilities engineering experience, from concept through execution
  • Ability to work as a member of a small, nimble team and work in a self-directed manner
  • Must be able to manage changing priorities and balance workload
  • Maintain a professional appearance of both self and workspace within a vehicle workshop
  • Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, Civil, or similar with an automotive focus.
  • Depth of understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, electro-mechanical as well as environmental test devices
  • Experience working with construction drawings for architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing
  • Experience with facility and equipment permitting requirements
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time

Salary will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, training, skillset, location, etc.  Expected salary range – 132,400 - 165,500
