ADAS (Advanced driver-assistance systems) Platform BSW team is responsible for delivering base software for the ADAS domain controller. As a growing team, we are looking to add an experienced BSW Engineer to support multiple product lines.

As a hands-on ADAS Platform Software Engineer you are responsible for:

• Defining and architecting software stack for the ADAS central domain controller and the autonomous driving system.
• Characterizing, profiling, and optimizing system software for functionality, power, resources, security, and safety.
• Writing device drivers for interfacing with peripherals components.
• Developing, testing, and debugging the BSP, firmware.
• Supporting application software teams in building a reliable and scalable software stack.
• Writing example or test applications in C to support bring up efforts.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as system architecture, hardware, BSP, security, cloud and vehicle engineering to develop robust end to end solutions.
• Performing code reviews for peers to ensure quality coding practices.
• Collaborating with software test team to improve continuous integration efforts.
• Creating and maintain technical documentations.

Required skills/experience:

• 5+ years in firmware (C/C++) development roles for embedded systems
• Strong familiarity with I2C, SPI, and CAN
• Ability to debug on the register level.
• Strong familiarity with use of pointers in the C language.
• Deep understanding of real time operating systems, and scheduling concepts.
• Strong analytical skills, excellent communications skills, and ability to take ownership over time sensitive deliveries.
• Experience using a version control platform.
• Ability to develop clean code with best practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering with 5+ years of experience in Automotive or highly regulated industry
• Hands on experience debugging and bringing up platforms.
• Prior experience with working with AutoSAR configuration tools.
• Prior experience with NXP S32G SoC, Cortex-M7 processor, or a multi-core embedded device.
• Some experience with Python.
• Strong knowledge of SW engineering processes for mission-critical applications.
• Experience with using git.
• Thrives in fast-paced agile environment.

Salary will be determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to years of experience, training, skillset, location, etc.  Expected salary range in CA – $125,100 - $150,200 annually
