Job Purpose 


The Canoo IT Department is looking for an Oracle Cloud Technical Engineer who will support the Oracle Cloud technologies, integrated solutions, and strategic initiatives across the company with the goal of driving better decision making and more effective operations. This position plans, designs, oversees development, and deploys efficient systems in support of core organizational functions and company processes. This role will work closely with the Oracle teams, Canoo IT, and various business teams.  In this role, you will also work with the IT team to support, design and implement various data solutions.  


Responsibilities (80s of the Position) 

  • Strong understanding of the end-to-end workflows pertaining to major oracle cloud modules such as:
  • Financials (Payables, Receivables, accounting hub, assets, and reporting)
  • Supply chain and manufacturing (Inventory, order management, supply chain planning, procurement, product hub, manufacturing, and logistics)
  • Procurement (supplier management, contracts, and sourcing)
  • Good understanding of the standard configurations, setups, cross module integration features, ESS jobs, and data loaders.
  • Hands on experience working with upstream and downstream boundary systems that interact with oracle cloud.
  • Data extraction through:
    • Building BI Publisher reports/report jobs
    • Building BICC (BI publisher cloud connector) jobs
  • Integrating external web applications with oracle SaaS screens and personalize them as per the client needs
  • Configuring connections and collaborative messaging to invoke external web services (SOAP/REST) from oracle SaaS.
  • Should have strong hands-on experience working with the Oracle SaaS APIs (REST and SOAP) and FBDI processes.
  • Oracle SaaS security, managing users, defining custom roles, setting up the process to synchronize SaaS users and roles to IDCS (Identity cloud Service).
  • Experience on working with all Oracle databases (ATP/Non-ATP), writing SQL/PLSQL and defining ORDS services.
  • Experience on oracle integration cloud (OIC) and should be able to:
    • Design App Driven/Scheduled OIC integrations with proper logging and error handling capabilities.
    • Develop complex orchestrations by leveraging standard practices
    • Leverage OIC adapters, connections, lookups and custom libraries
  • Knowledge on other PaaS products such as:
    • Visual builder Studio for DevOps
    • Object Storage
    • OCE (Oracle Container Engine) and OKE (oracle Kubernetes Engine)
  • Understand IDCS federation, defining security policies, security rules, confidential applications along with users and groups.
  • Understand Oracle Cloud offerings such as, Databases (ATP), Integrations, Storage, DevOps, and containers
  • Should be able to provide sizing options, research information of a product and provision the same with specifications to meet client needs.
  • Should be familiar with oracle patching and release cycles and work with our Sys Admin and oracle support in scheduling.


Required Experience 

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3 to 5+ Oracle Implementations (Prefer Oracle Cloud)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Experience with OBIEE, OBIA, BI Publisher, OTBI
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of current technologies and complex enterprise level applications.
  • Skilled ability to obtain, understand and respond strategically to client needs.
  • Highly detail oriented, well organized, and able to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Energetic, motivated, service-oriented, and able to multitask.
  • Proven track record of delivering on time, on budget, and meeting commitments.
  • Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible to new situations and challenges.
  • Strong understanding of complex Internet based enterprise level applications
  • Oracle EBS and Oracle Cloud project experience
  • ERP Cloud Workflow and SLA Rules

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in Oracle ERP Cloud Financials preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle Supplier Portal a plus.
