Canoo has needs for a qualified Facilities Maintenance technician to continually monitor the facility and its systems and act accordingly to maintain optimal utilization. The technician will perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures, ensure compliance with engineering specifications and/or codes.

• Facilities modifications, includes:
  • Painting
  • Demo of existing abandoned in place systems
  • Construction of workstations (ramps, tables, flow through racks, ergo assist devices etc.)
  • Dock door repairs
  • Lighting maintenance
  • Infrastructure upgrades (ceiling, floors, isle ways)
  • HVAC
  • Compactor maintenance
  • Plumbing (restrooms and drains). 
• Assist Production Maintenance on breakdowns, special projects, PM’s.
• Identify best practices and create standards combining available information & knowledge.
• Follow plant safety and environmental policies and keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Participates in regularly scheduled team meetings.
• All other duties as required to support business needs.
• Travel and/or overtime may be required.

• Must be able to satisfactorily complete the Canoo hiring process requirements which include comprehensive assessments and a background check.
• HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical or General Construction training preferred.
• Must have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years or older.
• Minimum two years of experience in an Industrial environment
• Must be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructions.
• Basic computer skills required (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite)
• Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate self-initiative.
• Previous Facilities maintenance experience in an industrial environment. (Prefer prior large facility experience in automotive manufacturing.)
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical or General Construction.
• Must demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamwork.
• Must be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changes.
• Must be flexible to training, coaching, projects, and travel as needed.
