ADAS Software Engineer for Middleware develops run time infrastructure to implement the middleware for a production grade ADAS domain controller. He or she is responsible for developing a robust, scalable and modular middleware that meets the requirements for a real time safety critical product while ensuring support from the systems engineering and algorithms teams. As a Systems Integration Engineer for Diagnostic Software, you will lead the architecture and implementation of diagnostic functionality within Canoo’s vehicle software, utilizing the Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS) protocol. You will be responsible for diagnostic test design and generation of software requirements to define diagnostic functionality within the vehicle. You will interface with engineering, software, and manufacturing to ensure the vehicle can be successfully initialized and calibrated. The crux of this role will be to understand current vehicle software controls and devise the best diagnostic strategy for each implementation. The desire and ability to take full ownership of each diagnostic test within your domain is a must.
As a Systems Integration Engineer for Diagnostic Equipment, you will lead the electrical and software integration of diagnostic test equipment for Canoo’s manufacturing facilities. You will be responsible for specification generation all the way to final install and commissioning, acting as the liaison between engineering, software, and manufacturing domains in order to successfully design and test each piece of equipment. The crux of this role will be to balance equipment development in parallel with the evolution of Canoo’s diagnostic capabilities.
