The EVSE Design Release Engineer will lead the design, development, and sourcing for the EVSE for all relevant global markets. This role will lead in gathering, negotiating, updating, and documenting requirements for the products and will act as the single point of contact with the supply base. DRE shall ensure the product satisfies all regulatory and Canoo requirements. The DRE will also be responsible to achieve business initiatives for safety, warranty cost, and quality.

The battery test and validation engineer’s purpose is to plan and execute battery tests as per the design validation plan. The battery systems test engineer will develop and execute test plans to verify Canoo battery systems and components meet the design requirements and regulations. This is an in-lab and hands-on position; we are looking for engineers with previous experience in a design or test engineer environment. 

The Structural Analysis Engineer for Battery is responsible for creating structural CAE models for the Battery-modules, execute the analysis and interpret the results. The analysis engineer will work closely with the design and validation engineers throughout the product development stage and validation.

The Powertrain Integration Analysis Engineer is responsible for linking the multi-physics CAE models of the Electric-Motor, Gear-box, Inverter module and Battery-pack. Create and implement daily quality control procedures for body shop dimensional control. Support daily quality control procedures for body shop to ensure that the manufacturing process are with the tolerance limits.

Canoo Design Department is looking for a passionate and highly-motivated Surfacing technician.  

You will provide technical direction and guidance for optimal Thermal Systems and Thermal Components design and sizing for a variety of vehicles and platforms such as our Lifestyle Vehicle, MPDV, Pickup Truck, and others. You will interact with multidisciplinary teams to meet their thermal requirements including but not limited to Battery, Electric Motor, Power Electronics, Aerodynamics, and Controls. The Chargeport Design Release Engineer will lead the design, development, and sourcing for charge ports of the global market including but not limited to the CCS1, CCS2, and GB/T. The Engineer shall adhere to the automotive standards and ensure the products satisfy all regulatory and Canoo requirements. 

The HV cable Design Release Engineer will take ownership of all the HV cable Assemblies in the vehicle. The scope of work includes creating requirements, designing cable assemblies in vehicle space, and releasing them to Tier 1 suppliers for quotation. Ultimately, success in this position involves delivering validated cable assemblies to vehicle assembly by MRD date and successful vehicle integration into our prototype and production systems.

The Embedded Software Engineer will develop real time low level embedded software for power conversion systems and communications. This position will be responsible for the design and development of software for embedded control for Level 3 charging on the On Board Charger for Canoo’s electric vehicles.  

The Thermal Design & Release Engineer will be responsible for development and validation of components of the Thermal System of Canoo’s Lifestyle vehicle as well as future vehicles. This position requires an extremely technical oriented individual with the dynamic sense of urgency and communication skills to meet the project needs and development timing. In this role, you will interpret what reliability means to our customers and translate that into actionable and testable requirements.
