Institute standardized product design methods and processes to ensure smooth vehicle development and product launches. Set chassis system strategies, component catalog, and technology roadmap.
Work with the VP of Manufacturing to coordinate all activities related to:
- Coordinating organizational calendars
- Development and implementation of processes and procedures
- Creating and daily coordination of a business structure for Manufacturing
- Organization, implementation, and follow-up of the assignments and tasks records
- Liaison with the network of business managers throughout the organization
- Development and preparation for management development
The Director, Manufacturing Area Lead – Paint Shop, will facilitate the safety, quality, productivity, cost, morale, and production goals of the Canoo Vehicle Program, specific to their respective departments. The Director, Manufacturing Area Leader is the face, voice, and heart of Canoo Manufacturing shops in the program. The Area Leader must assure the feasibility of the products and processes, assure all standards, and build of the products in trial and series production. Holds responsibility from launch through to the long-term capacity of the shop. The Area Leader supports their shift leaders, group leaders, team leaders, and team members, as they create the capacity of the total production process. Safely built, high quality products must be handed over to the downstream department, and ultimately to their sales counterparts in the necessary quantities and in accordance with the volume plans.
The role will be responsible for designing and developing the processes from the ground up using various cutting-edge manufacturing tools to create a world class manufacturing facility. The Manufacturing Engineer (ME) will be responsible from the standard time analysis, equipment specifications, station layout, and ultimately the execution of lean process on the shop floor. This role will also work hand-in-hand with the design engineering team to problem solve vehicle-related concerns during production.
The Battery Safety Engineer will work with the Battery Design Engineers to validate battery module and pack safety performance. They will also work cross-functionally with the homologation team to develop test methods for the applicable regulatory and industry requirements. The battery safety engineer will be responsible for test method development, test execution and data analysis. Previous experience in an automotive role is required.

The ADAS Engineer Feature Software Architect develops the software architecture and integrates the code to implement a full feature into the domain controller of our ADAS system. He or she is responsible for deriving the software requirements to be consumed by internal and external development teams while ensuring support from the systems engineering and algorithms teams.

As a Motion Controls Engineer you will develop and maintain software for vehicle perception using various sensor input devices including Cameras, LIDAR, RADAR, ultrasonic, GPS, IMU and others on Vehicle CAN. You will be responsible for various motion planning and control tasks such as developing algorithms for lane centering, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane departure warning, blind spot detections, cross traffic alerts etc.
