The Advance Manufacturing Engineering –BIW, Paint, General Assembly and Battery Module position is charged with facilitating the production goals of the LV and MPDV Programs for process safety, quality, timing, costs, efficiency (HPV, eHPV). The ME-Manufacturing Engineer is the architect of the shop methods and processes, and the representative of Manufacturing in Canoo Program LV and MPDV. The ME - Manufacturing Engineer must ensure the feasibility of the products, prove and guarantee the buildability of the products, in the trail builds, and series production, for launch through to the long-term capacity of the system. The Director, Canoo Operating System is primarily responsible to collaboratively construct the system consisting, but not limited to, People Systems, including health and safety, Standardization, Built in Quality, Short Lead Time and Continuous improvement. The system will enable the everyone to be a problem solver and provide a basic structure with tools and approaches that can be adopted, scaled so that the guise of the system can be adopted and fit the in all areas of the company. The director will also be responsible for leading and deploying the development of tools (with a focus on the use of technology) and process guidelines to measure a company/production facilities success in these areas. This will be a company reaching system that outlines business requirements for all functions outlining the principles and processes that ultimately eliminate waste and drive efficiency throughout the company.
The Director of the Canoo Operating System will manage and lead the interface and collaboration of key stakeholders in the operations center such as Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Production, Materials Logistics, Human Resources, and Finance in developing of the system, tools and processes. The ideal candidate will not only bring technical functional depth and credibility but must also possess the requisite executive leadership traits and business acumen to interface with the Senior Manufacturing leadership and executive management team and develop, communicate, lead and motivate.
