The Senior Interior Headliner/Floor Engineer is responsible for the overall design and development of the complete Headliner/Floor Systems for Canoo current and future programs.
As a Lead Engineer in the Exteriors team, you will be responsible to delivering Fascia system and bracketry for current and future programs. You will collaborate with other stakeholders to deliver a system that meets vehicle durability, craftsmanship and all regulatory requirements.
The Battery Test Engineer is responsible for understanding and developing safety requirements for battery cells, modules and systems, and to devise and execute tests to validate that the company’s products satisfy the requirements.
As an Engineer in the Exteriors team, you will work on the development of the Front End and will be responsible for delivering front end structural components, front end module, structural and integral brackets, frunk, and other trim panels. You will collaborate with other stakeholders to deliver a system that meets vehicle durability, craftsmanship and all regulatory requirements.
The Battery Test and Validation Engineer’s purpose is to plan and execute battery testing per the Design Validation Plan. This position relates specifically to thermal testing, so working knowledge of flow systems and heat transfer analysis is required. The engineer will write test plans, build DUTs with proper instrumentation, and analyze thermal data. Battery thermal testing includes testing all temperature conditions and validating component temperature requirements. This job is hands-on in the Canoo Battery Lab, working alongside other battery test engineers.

The battery test and validation engineer’s purpose is to plan and execute battery tests as per the design validation plan. The battery systems test engineer will develop and execute test plans to verify Canoo battery systems and components meet the design requirements and regulations. This is an in-lab and hands-on position; we are looking for engineers with previous experience in a design or test engineer environment.
Lead and grow organization to design, develop, validate, and implement a fully competitive Vehicle Chassis in consumer and fleet vehicle applications. Institute standardized product design methods and processes to ensure smooth vehicle development and product launches. Set chassis system strategies, component catalog, and technology roadmap.
Work with the VP of Manufacturing to coordinate all activities related to:
- Coordinating organizational calendars
- Development and implementation of processes and procedures
- Creating and daily coordination of a business structure for Manufacturing
- Organization, implementation, and follow-up of the assignments and tasks records
- Liaison with the network of business managers throughout the organization
- Development and preparation for management development
The Director, Manufacturing Area Lead – Paint Shop, will facilitate the safety, quality, productivity, cost, morale, and production goals of the Canoo Vehicle Program, specific to their respective departments. The Director, Manufacturing Area Leader is the face, voice, and heart of Canoo Manufacturing shops in the program. The Area Leader must assure the feasibility of the products and processes, assure all standards, and build of the products in trial and series production. Holds responsibility from launch through to the long-term capacity of the shop. The Area Leader supports their shift leaders, group leaders, team leaders, and team members, as they create the capacity of the total production process. Safely built, high quality products must be handed over to the downstream department, and ultimately to their sales counterparts in the necessary quantities and in accordance with the volume plans.
The Battery Safety Engineer will work with the Battery Design Engineers to validate battery module and pack safety performance. They will also work cross-functionally with the homologation team to develop test methods for the applicable regulatory and industry requirements. The battery safety engineer will be responsible for test method development, test execution and data analysis. Previous experience in an automotive role is required.
To disassemble, inspect, and repair drive unit test articles. The technician will be comfortable working hands on as well as computer-based tasks. Applicants should be comfortable with and willing to travel as well as reporting to Canoo HQ in Torrance CA.
The Functional Safety Manager owns and delivers the functional safety and risk management strategy, policies, team, tools, and budget for all Canoo vehicles.
